Celebrations are events that people organize because something pleasant has happened. So was the chocolate day celebration at GJR International School on July 7th. In memory of the great writer Mr. Roald Dahl, the school library organized Author Day. Indeed, it was a brushing up of activities to recall the works of the author, Roald Dahl.
The World Population Day is a United Nations initiative that the entire world celebrates on the 11th of July every year. The aim of this day is to create awareness about the exploding world population and the importance of reproductive health. The augmenting population is a major concern in countries like India and China. The theme for World Population Day 2022 focuses on various issues related to overgrowing population and promotes necessary steps to curb the issue. Students of GJR International School volunteered to create awareness through performing a skit on World Population Day in the assembly. The consequences of overpopulation were portrayed very well.
A First Aid Training Program was organized at our school for teachers on 16th July 2022 through American Heart Association.It is beyond doubt that knowledge of first aid promotes a safer and healthier environment. Having teachers who are well equipped with first aid skills enhances schools’ safety.
The objective of this celebration was to increase awareness about protecting the natural resources that the Earth is bestowed with. This day stresses the need for preserving a healthy environment.
Student Council Elections is the time when students, for the first time, learn the process of election, choosing the right candidate for the position, and the right to vote. We were elated to see the leadership qualities and the way students took the initiative throughout the process, making it a phenomenon.
We conducted this academic year's first in-person PTI on the school premises for Grade 1. Our teachers introduced all new parents to the GJR curriculum and philosophy. It's a great beginning with so much encouragement from all the parents we received at the PTI.
