Events July 2025 2nd July 2025 National Doctor’s Day Grade 3 students held a special assembly for National Doctor’s Day, honoring doctors’ selfless contributions. The assembly featured students dressed as doctors, who shared inspiring quotes and facts about famous medical professionals. It concluded with a poem, a heartwarming event that instilled deep respect for the medical profession. 4th July 2025 Mother Language Day As part of Mother Language Day at GJR, we were thrilled by the enthusiastic participation of our parent community. Parents shared stories, songs, rhymes, and cultural anecdotes in their native languages, creating a rich, inclusive experience for our young learners. Their heartfelt contributions deepened children’s connection to their roots and celebrated the beauty of diverse languages—a true reflection of unity in diversity. 5th July 2025 Grade 5 Field Trip to Bakery Grade 5 students visited a local bakery as part of their unit on supply chains under the theme How We Organise Ourselves. They explored the journey of baked goods—from sourcing ingredients to production, packaging, and distribution. Guided by the head baker, students gained firsthand insight into the roles of farmers, bakers, packers, and drivers. The engaging trip offered a real-world look at how collaboration brings food to our tables. 5th July 2025 Well Being Session for Parents Ms. Durga Prashanti conducted a session on the vital role of the school counsellor in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development. She emphasized the importance of nurturing students’ hearts, minds, and well-being, highlighting how parents and educators can work together to help children thrive. 9th July 2025 Field trip to Martin’s Farm (Pre-KG & J-KG) Our Pre-KG and J-KG learners had an exciting visit to Martin’s Farm, where they joyfully interacted with cows, goats, ducks, rabbits, turtles, and even exotic birds. Many fed and petted animals for the first time, sparking curiosity and wonder. This hands-on experience fostered empathy, sensitivity toward animals, and a deeper appreciation for farm life—nurturing their spirit of inquiry and understanding of our shared world with all living beings. 14th July 2025 French Day GJR International School came alive with French flair during a lively French Day assembly! The celebration began with a cheerful French song, followed by a hilarious skit on the French Revolution that had everyone laughing. Students wrapped up with an energetic dance performance, showcasing talent and spirit. The event beautifully highlighted the richness of French culture through music, humour, and movement. C’était vraiment formidable! 17th July 2025 Splish Splash day – EYP Our tots made a joyful splash on Splish Splash Day! They arrived with cheerful faces and colorful raincoats, ready to play in tiny pools and under sprinklers. Laughter and splashes filled the air as they enjoyed this perfect blend of play and learning. It was a day of water fun and happy memories, celebrating the simple magic of childhood. 18th July 2025 Inter-House Football Competition Team spirit lit up GJR International School’s football ground on 18th July 2025 during the thrilling Inter-house Football Match. From the 9:30 AM kickoff, energy soared as Infernos, Cetus, Ventus, and Dynamos battled fiercely. The knockout rounds and gripping finals kept everyone on edge. Weeks of training with coaches and mentors shone through, as students displayed discipline, determination, and immense house pride on the field. 19th July 2025 Grade 2 Field Trip to Fire Station Our field trip to the Whitefield fire station was an inspiring and educational experience. Students met real-life heroes, explored fire engines and gear, and witnessed a live emergency drill. They learned vital fire safety tips and gained insights into teamwork, courage, and community service. This hands-on visit deepened their respect for firefighters and left a lasting impression of admiration and learning 23rd July 2025 Grade 10 Field Trip to Param Science Foundation Grade 10 students of GJR International School had an exciting visit to the Param Science Foundation, where hands-on exhibits made science come alive. From exploring physics and biology to solving brain-teasing puzzles, students engaged in activities that sparked curiosity and enhanced critical thinking. The trip blended learning with fun, promoting teamwork and creativity. It was an inspiring experience that deepened their love for science and encouraged future innovation. 24th July 2025 Healthy Habits – Senior Kindergarteners To promote wellness and self-awareness, our Senior Kindergarteners attended an engaging guest talk on “Healthy Habits and How Right Choices Impact Growth.” Through relatable examples, the speaker encouraged joyful learning, and the children eagerly reflected on their daily routines and choices. 25th July 2025 Session on Sign Language Today, students took part in an inspiring Sign Language session led by Ms. Anitha and Ms. Arpitha. They learned that sign language is more than gestures—it’s a powerful way to connect. Through engaging demos, the workshop showed how hand signs, facial expressions, and body language can express thoughts and emotions, breaking barriers and opening hearts to silent communication. 28th July 2025 EYP Story Telling Competition The kindergarten storytelling competition was a joyful celebration of imagination, confidence, and expression. With bright eyes and creative props, our little narrators brought fairy tales, folktales, and original stories to life. They showcased the IB Learner Profile as confident communicators and risk-takers, speaking proudly on stage. This enriching experience nurtured language skills, emotional expression, and a love for stories—reminding us of the power of imagination in young minds. 30th July 2025 Carafesta Variente GJR International School proudly hosted Carafesta Variente 2025 on July 30th—a vibrant celebration of literature, technology, and culture. Eight top Bangalore schools joined the fest, showcasing creativity, enthusiasm, and spirited competition. Now a signature event, Carafesta Variente reflects GJR’s commitment to collaboration and excellence. This year’s edition dazzled with color, energy, and imagination, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. 30th July 2025 Grade 1 Field Trip to Post Office Grade 1 students enjoyed a fascinating visit to the post office, exploring the journey of a letter from posting to delivery. Events June 2025 30th May 2025 International Skating Championship Our students gave their best effort in the international skating championship. Although they couldn’t qualify in the main event, they showed great spirit by participating in the open relay and won medals, ensuring they didn’t return disappointed. Recreate. Restore.” They began by highlighting the day’s significance and our relationship with nature. A powerful skit showcased practical environmental actions: reducing waste, recycling, planting trees, conserving water, and using sustainable alternatives. Students then led a collective pledge to protect Earth, followed by a soulful song of hope and commitment to restoring nature. The assembly was truly inspiring, fostering a renewed sense of environmental responsibility. 13th June 2025 Art Competition The campus buzzed with creativity during the eagerly awaited Art Competition! Students from all grades showcased their imagination and emotions using diverse mediums like drawing, painting, and mixed media. Themes spanning nature, culture, and abstract ideas highlighted individual perspectives and deep thought. From early years to senior school, every artwork showcased the incredible talent within our school. The competition celebrated artistic excellence, fostering a love for visual storytelling and encouraging experimentation. Judges, including art educators, evaluated entries on creativity, originality, technique, and impact. 20th June 2025 Investiture Ceremony Empowering Young Leaders: The Investiture Ceremony at GJR International School marks the beginning of a journey in leadership, responsibility, and excellence.” A day to be reckoned and remembered by the students of GJR International School. GJR International School commemorated the Investiture Ceremony on 20th June 2025, marking the official formation of the Student Council. This ceremony marked the act of conferring students with authority, power, rights, office, and dignity to enable the students to understand their rights, duties, and responsibilities and to empower them to become leaders of tomorrow. It culminated in an oath-taking ceremony, where students reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the school’s prestige and dignity. 21st June 2025 International Yoga Day GJR International School joyfully celebrated International Yoga Day 2025 on the morning of June 21st with great enthusiasm and unity. The event, centered around this year’s global theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, witnessed wholehearted participation from students, teachers, and parents. 21st June 2025 International Music Day International Music Day is a special occasion where we recognize the power of music in our lives. Whether it’s a calming melody, a rhythmic beat, or a joyful song, music touches every heart and connects people across cultures, backgrounds, and generations. 25th June 2025 Dental Care Session Grade 1 children of the GJR family had the opportunity to attend an informative and interactive session on oral hygiene, conducted by Dr. Karthik and Dr. Ranjana. Through an engaging journey of storytelling, the doctors highlighted the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and explained the consequences of neglecting it. They also emphasized the need for regular visits to the dentist to ensure healthy teeth and gums. It was a fun-filled and educational experience that left our young learners with bright smiles and valuable lessons!

Events March 2025 3rd March 2025 G4 Student Conference On 3rd March 2025, students of Grade 4 hosted the student conference/ display in the school auditorium to encourage students to showcase their talents and innovations. The event began at 10AM with a welcome speech. Students participated in mime on government systems, made budget plan with parents, helped parents to sketch a smart city along with Hindi and Kannada skits. The “cherry on the cake” was the Bihu and the Bhangra dance. Students also presented their projects and models on simple machines. The event received a lot of appreciation and was a huge success providing the students a platform to display their creativity and scientific temperament. 7th March 2025 G5 Student Learning Display Grade 5 students impressed with their insightful presentations on Where We Are in Place and Time, How the World Works, and How We Express Ourselves. They showcased their understanding through creative stage plays, hands-on experiments, and a captivating civilization-themed fashion show. Their teamwork and collaboration made the Student-Led Conference a remarkable success. 14th March 2025 Sr-KG Graduation Day GJR International School celebrated its Graduation Day on Friday, 14th March 2025, with immense joy and pride. It was a special day to honor our young learners as they completed the Early Years Program and prepared to step into the next stage of their education. The event began with a warm welcome, followed by a showcase of the children’s learning experiences, which made everyone proud. Each student received a graduation certificate, marking their achievements and growth. Parents, teachers, and staff cheered as the young graduates walked with confidence to receive their certificates. Students were able to demonstrate their understanding and relate it to the actual scenario in an engaging and significant way. Students discussed the abilities and qualities they gained while researching the inquiries during the conference. As students actively participated in activities, it also provided the parents with a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the educational process. Seeing the students confidently guide the parents through their educational path was encouraging. 19th February 2025 SKG Learner Conference(2024-2025) During the SKG Learner Conference, students shared their knowledge, abilities, and reflections with parents and instructors. They demonstrated growth in literacy, numeracy, environmental awareness, and social-emotional development through interactive presentations, displays, and discussions. The auditorium was converted into a dynamic educational environment with something new to discover around every corner. The event’s highlight was the opportunity for parents to participate in the activities, which allowed students and their families to learn together in a collaborative setting. For everyone involved, it was a day full of education, joy, and enduring memories. 24th February 2025 Grade 3 Learner’s Fusion: A Celebration of Creativity and Learning The Grade 3 Learner’s Fusion was a vibrant display of creativity and knowledge, where students showcased their talents through engaging performances and interactive activities. Students impressed the audience with expressive dance performances representing the power of natural disasters, blending art with education. A heartfelt skit on Malala Yousafzai’s fight for children’s rights inspired meaningful conversations and admiration. Adding to the excitement, students dressed as mystery characters from famous stories, challenging parents to guess their identities and rewrite parts of the story—fueling creativity and laughter. Math turned into an exciting adventure with a hopscotch challenge that made addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division a fun experience for everyone. Students also proudly displayed creative models and research on natural disasters, bringing real-world learning into focus. With imaginations as boundless as their appetites, these budding chefs crafted their own unique chocolate masterpieces. 12th December 2024 Cupcake Workshop Decorate, Delight, Devour GJR International School recently hosted a delightful cupcake workshop, where students had the opportunity to unleash their creativity and baking skills. Under the guidance of expert instructors, the young bakers learned the art of decorating cupcakes with intricate designs, colorful frosting, and edible toppings. The workshop was a huge success, with students thoroughly enjoying the hands-on experience with their beautifully crafted cupcakes. Events November 2024 9th November 2024 District Skating Competition On November 9 and 10, 2024, the Bangalore District Roller Skating Association (BDRSSA) held a district skating competition for students aged 3 to 16 years. More than fifty rural and urban schools in Bangalore took part in the competition. We are thrilled to report that our school’s students performed remarkably well in the race. The audience was treated to a showcase of grace, energy, and passion as our talented dancers mesmerized everyone with their moves. The event was a celebration of rhythm and creativity, leaving lasting memories of the magic of dance. 12th November 2024 Fieldtrip to Fire Station Our preschoolers had an amazing field trip to the fire station! The excitement was palpable as we arrived and stepped into the world of firefighters. This fun and educational experience gave the children a chance to learn about fire safety, meet real firefighters, and see the fire trucks up close. They were fascinated by the tools and equipment used every day. The firefighters shared stories about their jobs and answered all the kids’ curious questions. The firefighters demonstrated how the hose pipe operates, the kids enjoyed seeing the hoses up close and learning how they are used in real emergencies. Overall, this trip was a fantastic opportunity for our preschoolers to learn in a fun, hands-on environment. 13th November 2024 Inter School Skating Competition An interschool skating competition was held at EURO School (Whitefield) on 13th November 2024 for the students aged 3-16 years; thirty-five-plus schools across Bangalore participated in this competition. It gives us immense pleasure to share that students of our school have done exceedingly well in the race. Six students have won positions in different categories. Naidu, held on November 16, 2024, at GJR International School, equipped participants with essential knowledge and skills in fire prevention, detection, and suppression. Expert instructors provided comprehensive training, covering fire safety awareness, detection and alarm systems, fire extinguisher operation, evacuation procedures, and live fire training. Participants gained valuable insights into fire hazards, risk assessment, and emergency response planning. The interactive workshop aimed to educate and empower individuals in fire safety, fostering a culture of prevention and preparedness. With positive feedback from attendees, the workshop successfully enhanced overall fire safety awareness, confidence, and expertise among participants. 18th November 2024 Kannada Rajyotsava Binding us Together At GJR International School, we celebrated “Kannada Rajyotsava Day” on November 18th with a lot of fanfare. The atmosphere of the Kannada language was palpable. Since it was their home festival, everyone took part equally and with great fervour. The children performed dances and songs to highlight the festivities. Everyone in Karnataka should study Kannada, appreciate all the languages, and preserve them for the upcoming generation. They learned the science behind soap-making while customizing scents and colors to create unique, skin-safe masterpieces. This hands-on session combined creativity with sustainability, leaving everyone inspired and proud of their handmade soaps! 21st November 2024 Childrens Day Adventures Play, Explore, Inspire: The Ultimate School Carnival GJR International School hosted an electrifying carnival on November 21, 2024, offering students an unforgettable experience. The action-packed event featured thrilling activities such as wall climbing, rope climbing, and zorbing, testing students’ physical limits and teamwork skills. Exciting attractions like obstacle courses, rock climbing, zip lines, and mowgli walk added to the adrenaline rush. Events October 2024 28th October 2024 Spooky Halloween and Chef Day Celebrating Halloween with early years was a delightful and engaging experience! During a Halloween trick-and-treat session, children in spooky costumes visited the higher grades, while seniors performed tricks for younger children. In order to encourage healthy eating and basic food preparation, children cooked simple sandwiches and fruit salads, paired with their buddies from higher grades, and celebrated Chef Day with fireless cooking after the performances.

On August 15, 2024, GJR International School celebrated the 78th Independence Day, joining the nationwide festivities with great enthusiasm and a patriotic spirit. Shahen Pardiwala highlighted the importance of giving young leaders freedom to own their ideas and engage in community involvement. The webinar provided a platform for networking, learning, and growth for young leaders, highlighting the value of empowering them for social change. 31st August 2024 Career Counselling Providing great strategies for career growth GJR International School held a “MIND GROW” seminar on August 30, 2024, to help parents and children navigate career exploration and planning. The seminar, led by professionals Mrs. Indu and Mrs. Preethi, focused on career paths, labor market changes, and acquiring competencies for future success. The seminar targeted grades 9 and 10 and aimed to address specific concerns and goals. The one-on-one interaction between organizers, parents, and kids helped raise awareness and encourage proactive measures towards future objectives.
