Performing Arts

Performing Arts at GJR International School

Performing arts include all aspects of Dance, Music, and Drama. Therefore, all the forms include artistic aspect and creative expression. So, students perceive and respond, using the elements of dance, music, and theatre at our International school.

But, Only with the help of faculty and experts, students learn to Create, Perform, and Participate in Musical events.  Self-expression is encouraged and accepted in performing arts. There’s no right or wrong way and all opinions and options are considered. This is different when compared to other subjects, such as maths or science, whereby there’s usually a particular method or strategy to complete something.

It is often this lack of creative boundary that encourages confidence and boosts self-respect; their suggestions and the chance to explore alternative ideas encourage them to express their options positively. Above all, Senior Students apply processes and skills in acting, directing, designing, and scriptwriting to create formal and informal videos, and electronic media productions and also to perform in them.

Within this open learning environment is the opportunity to develop and support new skills. As constructive feedback is gained and ideas are tried and tested, children discover their strengths and weaknesses and develop ways in which they can overcome new challenges.

As well as this, performing arts requires creativity, togetherness, good communication, and leadership; children can practice these essential life skills during an enjoyable activity.
