Grade 2 Innovation Fair: Creativity, Language & Sustainability

Our Grade 2 learners recently hosted a lively exhibition showcasing innovation, language, and sustainability. The Eco-Friendly Houses display featured models with solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and windmills, along with charts tracing housing from caves to skyscrapers. In the Language Corner, students used colorful posters and games to explain nouns and adjectives, making grammar fun and interactive. The Math Zone highlighted creativity with geometric patterns and practical lessons on measurement using rulers and tapes. The exhibition reflected the children’s creativity, understanding, and eco-awareness—a proud moment for teachers and students alike.

Young Minds, Bright Futures – A Celebration of Learning & Culture

Our Grade 3 Student Conference was a vibrant showcase of knowledge, creativity, and culture. Parents enjoyed a powerful World War II skit on peace and resilience, lively traditional dances, and engaging English tasks where students transformed simple sentences into expressive language. Math came alive through games like dominoes and tangrams, while second-language activities highlighted budding multilingual skills. The day concluded with traditional global games, blending fun, teamwork, and cultural appreciation. It was a true celebration of academic progress, confidence, and collaboration, made even more special by the support of our wonderful parents.

From Markets to Muscles: Student Conference

Grade 5 learners at GJR hosted a unique Student Conference connecting economics with biology. Through projects, models, and parent collaboration, students showed how money flows like blood and goods move like nutrients in the body. The event highlighted creativity, critical thinking, and the importance of balance, teamwork, and smart choices for both economies and healthy living.

Wheels of Glory – Interschool Skating Competition 2025

On 7th August 2025, GJR International School hosted an electrifying Interschool Skating Competition with participants from six schools, spanning LKG to Grade 8. The rink came alive with speed, agility, and determination as young athletes showcased their skill and sportsmanship. Parents and spectators cheered every effort, celebrating courage and perseverance. The event concluded with a grand prize distribution, honoring winners and participants alike. It was a day of camaraderie, healthy competition, and inspiration, reflecting GJR’s commitment to nurturing talent and teamwork.

Together We Bloom: Pre-KG Picnic Day Celebration

Our Pre-KG students and families came together for a heartwarming Picnic Day, filled with laughter, creativity, and connection. Tied to the inquiry theme “Who We Are – Families and Ourselves,” the campus transformed into a vibrant space with picnic spots, storytelling corners, art nooks, and playful activities. Parents and children danced, created, and reflected on what makes their families special. The day concluded with a heartfelt group circle and the melody of “Thank You God for the World So Sweet.” Picnic Day was more than an outing, it was a celebration of love, togetherness, and family values.

Saving Lives, One Beat at a Time – BLS Training at GJR

On 13th August 2025, GJR International School conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) training session for Grades 10 and 11 students and faculty. The interactive workshop equipped participants with vital emergency response skills, including CPR for adults and children, AED usage, and managing choking and respiratory crises. Guided by expert trainers, students practiced life-saving techniques on mannequins, learning the importance of quick action and calm decision-making. Participants earned BLS certification, boosting both confidence and community safety. The session empowered our learners to step up as lifesavers, proving that every second truly counts.

Pride in Our Past, Promise for Our Future – 79th Independence Day at GJR

GJR International School celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour and joy. The campus came alive in the vibrant hues of the tricolour, symbolizing unity and pride. The day began with the ceremonial flag hoisting and the National Anthem, followed by inspiring student performances, patriotic songs, energetic dances, thought-provoking skits, and heartfelt speeches, all paying tribute to India’s freedom fighters. With parents joining the celebrations, the event fostered a spirit of togetherness and community. It was a proud reminder for our young learners to embrace patriotism, responsibility, and values that shape India’s bright future. Jai Hind!

Inquiry in Action: Young Minds Leading the Way

On 19th August 2025, GJR International School hosted the Grade 4 Student-Led Conference, a vibrant showcase of curiosity, confidence, and creativity. Students transformed the campus into a hub of ideas and discovery, impressing parents with their ownership of learning. In the Science Zone, children became young scientists, demonstrating simple machines like levers, pulleys, wheels & axles, and screws through hands-on experiments. The Governance Corner brought history and civics alive through role-plays and models of democracy, monarchy, dictatorship, and theocracy, even involving parents. Showcasing collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity, the event highlighted inquiry, leadership, and transformation through meaningful learning.

GJMUN 2025: Voices of Youth, Visions for Tomorrow

On 22nd August 2025, GJR International School proudly hosted GJMUN 2025, a dynamic one-day Model United Nations conference that united passionate student delegates from across schools. MUN proved more than a simulation, it was a platform for young leaders to debate global issues, sharpen diplomacy, and shape solutions. Four committees, UNHRC, WHO, DISEC, and SOCHUM, tackled pressing challenges through discussions, negotiations, and resolutions, showcasing collaboration and critical thinking. Awards for Best Delegate, Honourable Delegate, Commendable Delegate, and Special Mention recognised excellence. The event concluded on a high, empowering youth with leadership, empathy, and vision to become tomorrow’s global changemakers.

Planting Saplings, Nurturing Values

On 25th August 2025, GJR International School, in collaboration with The Association of People with Disability (APD), hosted a heartwarming workshop – “Grow Your First Plant with Us.” Students from Grades 3 to 9 planted their own saplings while learning about soil preparation, organic gardening, and plant care. Guided by APD’s specially-abled horticulture team, children not only gained hands-on experience but also embraced values of inclusion, resilience, and responsibility. Each participant carried home a sapling and guidebook to continue their green journey. The initiative sowed seeds of sustainability and respect, nurturing young minds to grow with nature.
