Guest Talk on Healthcare

Connecting You to Better Health

GJR International School hosted an enlightening online guest lecture on healthcare systems for middle school students. Dr. Tabish, an esteemed expert with an Irish fellowship in anesthesiology and a Master of Medicine from China, led the session.

Dr. Tabish highlighted the crucial role of effective healthcare systems in advancing public health and medical services across various countries, including Oman, Ireland, China, and Bahrain. During the engaging Q&A session, students asked insightful questions about the future of global healthcare.

The lecture provided an in-depth and thought-provoking exploration of modern healthcare systems, giving students a richer understanding of current global health challenges.

Inter-School Football Competition

Strategy Meets Skill, Football Triumphs

On August 7 and 8, the school enthusiastically hosted an inter-school football tournament, attracting talented young players from 12 schools. The event showcased remarkable sportsmanship, teamwork, and talent, establishing itself as a premier sporting event on the academic calendar. Thoughtful scheduling and logistics ensured seamless gameplay, while excellent playing conditions and safety measures provided a secure environment for all participants. The tournament was a tremendous success, fostering teamwork, discipline, and a passion for football among players. The school looks forward to hosting future competitions and inspiring young athletes to strive for excellence.

Independence Day

Honoring Sacrifices, Celebrating Freedom!

On August 15, 2024, GJR International School celebrated the 78th Independence Day, joining the nationwide festivities with great enthusiasm and a patriotic spirit. Chairman Dr. GJ Vijaykumar, Managing Director Mr. JV Akshay, and Principal Ms. Neelam Ravi unfurled the national flag, marking the beginning of the celebrations.

The cultural program commenced with a soulful performance by a group of students, followed by an inspiring speech from the school captain, who honored the sacrifices made by our soldiers. The energy soared as students showcased a captivating dance tribute to the nation’s army and police forces, serving as a powerful reminder of the bravery of those who have fought valiantly for our freedom.

The day was filled with joy, love, and respect for the country, instilling in students a deep appreciation for the freedom achieved by our nation’s great leaders. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the school vice-captain, sending students home with a profound sense of pride in their nation—a beacon of diversity, equality, and inclusivity.

“Empowering Young Leaders for Social Change”

The Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC) program held a webinar at GJR International School, discussing the role of young leaders in societal progress. Shahen Pardiwala highlighted the importance of giving young leaders freedom to own their ideas and engage in community involvement. The webinar provided a platform for networking, learning, and growth for young leaders, highlighting the value of empowering them for social change.

Career Counselling

Providing great strategies for career growth

GJR International School held a “MIND GROW” seminar on August 30, 2024, to help parents and children navigate career exploration and planning. The seminar, led by professionals Mrs. Indu and Mrs. Preethi, focused on career paths, labor market changes, and acquiring competencies for future success. The seminar targeted grades 9 and 10 and aimed to address specific concerns and goals. The one-on-one interaction between organizers, parents, and kids helped raise awareness and encourage proactive measures towards future objectives.
